David Ditlhako: We all harbour aspirations we hope to realize. For David, his initial ambition was to pursue a career in heavy plant engineering. However, life had other plans for him. Despite setbacks, his fervent desire for success led him to embrace his innate creativity. This marked the beginning of his affinity for design, eventually leading him to delve into jewellery design and manufacturing, which he currently pursues. From a young age, David exhibited a keen interest in design. Growing up in a rural setting, he showcased his talent by constructing wire cars, each bearing a distinct and impeccable craftsmanship that earned him legendary status in his community. Throughout his schooling, he consistently excelled in Design and Technology, both in junior and senior high school. After a year of studying a general engineering course, David realized that his true passion lay elsewhere. Consequently, he decided to enrol in the newly established Industrial Design course. Since then, his passion for design has flourished exponentially. Every day presents an opportunity for him to learn and grow, inching closer to his aspiration of becoming a renowned designer.
